Mayor Martin L. Jones

The Mayor of the Town of Stedman serves as the Town’s official representative and presides over meetings of the Town Board of Commissioners. The Mayor works alongside the Board to address matters affecting the community and participate in the Town’s local government.

Role of the Mayor

The Mayor’s responsibilities include:

• Presiding over meetings of the Town Board of Commissioners.
• Representing the Town at ceremonial events and official functions.
• Working with the Board of Commissioners on matters affecting Stedman.
• Signing official documents as authorized by the Town’s governing laws and policies.

The Mayor and Board of Commissioners work together on Town matters, including ordinances, resolutions, the annual budget, and other decisions affecting the community.

Town Board Meetings

The Town Board of Commissioners meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend meetings to stay informed about local government matters, hear discussions about Town business, and learn about decisions affecting the Stedman community.
