Important updates from Cumberland County Schools.
Due to numerous road closures, flooding and hazardous road conditions that still exist, the Cumberland County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, September 24, 2018.
In the interest of preserving instructional time for students, Wednesday, September 26 will be a full day of school for students who follow the Traditional Calendar. It will no longer be designated an early-release day.
In response to the impact of Hurricane Florence in Cumberland County, the USDA has approved the Cumberland County Schools for Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance, which includes offering school breakfast and lunch to all students district wide at no charge from September 24 through the month of October.
ATTENTION ALL TOWN OF STEDMAN WATER CUSTOMERS
From March 1 to March 31, PWC, in compliance with state requirements, will discontinue the addition of ammonia in its disinfection process. This may result in a more noticeable smell or taste of chlorine. Also, hydrant flushing will be performed which may cause water discoloration. These changes should subside after March 31.
